Mackenzie Hughes is a regional law firm focused in business & commercial law. Since 1884, Mackenzie prides itself on being a large firm that provides personable service to each client regardless of their needs. A well-known leader in the Syracuse community, Mackenzie had been in the same building for over a 100 years and was looking for a modern take while maintaining their position in the Downtown area. With 36 attorneys and 75 employees overall, Mackenzie needed a large space that could accommodate the employers demands of collaborative & separate workspaces on the same floor, and also storage space for their law library and resources.

BellCornerstone first did a market analysis to find a place that was part of the developing Syracuse downtown area. After narrowing the options, BellCornerstone leveraged Mackenzie’s business to negotiate a lower price per square foot and a discounted rate for the first year.
BellCornerstone negotiated a deal where Mackenzie’s entire operation was accommodated on one floor with large conference, office, and storage spaces. Mackenzie also got options to expand and renew the lease term in addition to building naming rights.
