Making Real Estate Work for
Your Business: It’s What We Do.
“Real estate should be a strategic advantage, yet too often it operates as a liability.”
At BellCornerstone, one thing has always been clear. Our President Emeritus and friend, Mark Bethmann, built this company on a simple but powerful idea: treat people right and always do the right thing, even when it’s hard. That belief remains at the core of everything we do.
As a nationally recognized, award-winning commercial real estate brokerage, we have worked alongside exceptional CEOs, CFOs, and ownership groups across the country. Through that experience, we have seen a consistent reality: real estate that was once a strategic advantage can, over time, become a liability. Trying to time the market against shifting business needs, particularly with the wrong partner, is often costly.
As headcounts shift, technology advances, and expense models fall out of balance, and as markets change with inflation and the rising cost of capital, portfolios become bloated, leases linger, and owned assets sit underutilized. What should be helping the business begins to hold it back, often driven by advice shaped more by how someone gets paid than by what actually creates value. That is the problem we are built to solve.
Together with my partner and co-owner, Aidan Cleghorn, our Managing Broker, we have built BellCornerstone on transparency, accountability, and results -over transactions. Aidan’s leadership ensures disciplined execution that unlocks capital, reduces debt, lowers operating expenses, and puts real estate back to work for the business.
BellCornerstone is built around a team of specialists working together. Under Aidan’s direction and our shared leadership, we bring the right expertise into each situation to solve the most complex, costly, and time-sensitive real estate challenges our clients face. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model. We believe in collaboration, in fully understanding a company’s real estate, and in executing at a level where details matter and outcomes follow.
This work is not easy. The conversations are often complex and sometimes uncomfortable, but they are necessary. When real estate is aligned with the business, it becomes a true strategic advantage instead of a hidden liability. Doing the right thing for our clients is not always the easiest path, but it is the standard we hold ourselves to.
The COVID pandemic did not just disrupt the market. It exposed inefficiencies that had been building for years and forced companies to rethink their footprint, usage, and long-term commitments. In the years ahead, volatility will continue to disrupt the status quo. The companies that adapt will outperform those that do not. We are the partner to help lead that process.
We do not chase transactions. We solve problems and deliver results that last. That is how we move our clients forward and how we will continue to serve them for decades to come.

CEO, BellCornerstone
